Application Process

Further to the GCSE Options Information Evening (12th February) and Year 9 Parents' Evening (26th February), parents will be sent an online application form on Friday 27th February. This form will need to be completed by Friday 6th March, indicating your child's final GCSE option choices.

Key dates -

• 20th January - Options Assembly held for Year 9 students in school

• 21st January - launch of this webpage, please have a thorough read-through and begin discussions with your child about which subjects they would like to study at GCSE

• 26th January to 5th February - Taster sessions delivered to all Year 9 students

• 5th February - students will receive confirmation of the Pathway they have been placed on

• 6th February - parents will receive confirmation of the Pathway their child will be studying 

• 12th February - Year 9 Options’ Evening 5.30pm - 7.30pm

• 26th February - Year 9 Parents' Evening - this will be a good opportunity to discuss with your child's teachers their suitability for studying their chosen subjects 

• 27th February - Online application form sent to parents 

• 6th March - Application form completion deadline

• Beginning of June 2026 - Students will receive confirmation of their GCSE options.
