CONTENT

SEPARATE SCIENCES (SET 1)

Students who choose Science will study Biology, Chemistry and Physics separately and obtain a GCSE in each subject. End of year 9 assessment must be a minimum of a grade 4

The topics in each subject are similar (see below) to the Combined Science course; however, the students study each topic in greater depth.

This course is an excellent preparation for A-Level Sciences but students need to meet the requirements to do the course.

ASSESSMENT

Each Separate Science GCSE

The courses are linear and in each subject the students will sit 2 exam papers lasting 1 hour 45 minutes. 15% of the questions will relate to the key experiments/practical activities that will take place over the duration of the course.
